Digna has been invited to special church meetings. She has traveled to California, Texas, Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras and has recited to thousands of people. She has been on radio and TV as well. Digna wrote her first poetry book in 1999, entitled, Cuando Tu Me Inspiras (When You Inspires Me). Three poems from this book were sung by the famous and recognized Honduran singer Jorge Gomez Sr. on his CD, Cuando Busco Tu Rostro, (When I Seek Your Face). She has also written songs for a young promising singer Jorge Gomez Jr. Digna's dreams came true finally; her poems and songs were sung by artists.
In March 31 of 2003 at a special dinner, Digna was given the recognition as a Poet by A.H.U.N.NO. (Association of Hispanic and United Artist of New Orleans), for her accomplishments in the art of poetry with a beautiful trophy.
One dream births another dream. After writing her book of poems, Digna and her husband planed their next project: the production of a CD. Not only would show Digna's talent for writing and expressing God's love, but also her unique inspirational voice. After three years in the making the results was one of a kind, Inspiraciones (Inspirations), available in many musical establishments. Also, her peculiar voice was used to narrate biblical passages for the Spanish version of The Healing Word (La Palabra Sanadora), a beautiful book and CD, by Rev. Cathy Duplantis, co-founder of Jesse Duplantis Ministries.
Digna's dreams continue to come through, with the release in October of 2008, of her first novel, The Shadow of the Scorned.
Today, Digna lives with her husband Victor and daughter Dunia in LaPlace (20 miles from New Orleans), Louisiana, and she is a proud grandmother of 5. She continues writing and reciting her poems with the same passion. It was definitely, not an easy road for Digna, but with her faith in God, her determination and perseverance, even in the worse circumstances, she never gave up, and her dreams became a living testimony of God's faithfulness.
